Environmental studies is a multidisciplinary academic field which studies human interaction with the environment in the interests of solving complex problems. In this course, students will be introduced to the field of environmental studies through hands-on experiences in the Nobel Learning Garden.

Technology in Horticulture

Horticulture and the Environment

Science in Horticulture

Growing Crops in a Greenhouse

Food Horticulture Crops

Pomology- Fruit Production

Semester Learning Targets:

LT1 - “I know the name and safe use of garden tools.”

LT2 - “I can regularly maintain a garden landscape”

LT3 - “I can prepare soil for planting”

LT4 - “I can plant, tend, and successfully grow garden vegetables or fruit.”
