Welcome! I am a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Institute for Freedom and Community at St Olaf College. In fall 2026, I will start as an assistant professor of economics at St. Olaf College.
I am an applied microeconomist who researches questions related to public economics, urban economics, and political economy. My current research focuses on the impact of the Shelby County v. Holder ruling on government finance and public policy. I broadly study how the US political system impacts economic outcomes and inequality, both in the contemporary and historical contexts.
