Noah McKinnie Braun

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Economics at the University of Pittsburgh.

I will join St. Olaf College as a post-doctoral fellow and visiting assistant professor in 2024.

I am an applied microeconomist who researches questions related to public economics, urban economics, and political economy. My current research studies the impact of the Shelby County v. Holder ruling on government finance and public policy.  I also study voting rights and the provision of public goods by local government across segregated communities, with a focus on education, housing, and criminal justice policies.
