Welcome! I am an assistant professor of economics at St. Olaf College and I am interested in questions related to public economics, urban economics, and political economy.
My current research focuses on the impact of the Shelby County v. Holder ruling on government finance and public policy. I broadly study how the US political system impacts economic outcomes and inequality, both in the contemporary and historical contexts.
