About

Noah Daniel is a versatile double bassist, currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music. He has performed with the Royal Academy’s Symphony Orchestra under John Wilson, Sir Mark Elder, and Barbara Hannigan, and played in Mozart’s Figaro and Humperdinck’s Hansel and Gretel with the Academy Opera Company. He recently participated in the Royal Ballet Sinfonia Scheme, rehearsing Prokofiev’s Cinderella. 

Entrepreneurial in nature, Noah has actively sought opportunities to collaborate with local ensembles, most recently performing a movement of Vanhal Bass Concerto with the Chamber Orchestra, Farringdon. He is excited to further develop this partnership with additional performances discussed for Spring 2025. As part of the Royal Academy’s Student Create Festival, Noah curated and performed in Liturgical Shades. In this sold-out show, he showcased his skills both as a soloist and conductor, leading an ensemble through his original lighting sequences and a performance of Missy Mazzoli’s work. Following the success of this event, he is eager to build upon a budding collaboration with the Eclectic Gallery in Fitzrovia. Additionally, he is collaborating with jewelry designers and a makeup artist for A Pallid Reflection, an interdisciplinary exploration of life and death through the lens of the ocean’s immensity and natural cycles, which will be presented in May 2025.

A recipient of the Alex Ross Scholarship at the Royal Academy of Music, Noah is based in London and performs on a pre-war Hawkes double bass, featuring the official stamp of the Royal Marine Band.
