The Board of Bedevilment is an interactive collage showing the different interpretations of exploitation experienced by women. Guests may write their answers and thoughts about the artwork, especially regarding sexual harassment traumas and the pedophile Quiboloy. The artist provides a space to whomever would want to share their trauma and talk about it during the exhibit opening and exhibition run.
A. Dugo sa Bundok (embroidery work in hoop frame) - Dinudugo habang nakikibaka. Itong piece na ito ay para sa mga kababaihang nasa kabundukan na lumalaban para sa kalayaan ng ating bansa.
B. Mining in Visayas - The artist spotted numerous mountains being mined somewhere in the Visayas while en route to Siargao. This relates to the 1995 Mining Act, which environmentalists want to repeal and replace with the People's Mining Bill. a shocking illustration of nature abuse. #JunkMiningActOf1995
C. Rape rack - This is the process in which female cows are forced or raped to becomeÂ
pregnant. As women naturally produce milk for their babies, capitalism exploits cows to produce dairy for human consumption.Â
D. Breaking Silence - This is the story of a person who was prompted by a family member to engage in exploitative activity with her cousin when she was 4 years old. She was only able to open up about this traumatic experience during a conversation in the Breaking Silence organization in 2019. Kyra from Breaking Silence said that the family member is not the perpetrator, as for sure that family member was also harassed, and it is important to address the trauma and identify the culprit. F. Reclamation - This aerial shot of a reclaimed area in Bacoor, Cavite, is the site of an offshore gaming facility operated by Chinese nationals. There are 187 proposed reclamation projects in the country and 30 of these are in Manila Bay. In times of climate crisis, reclaiming lands should not be the top priority of the government. Another grave example of exploitation of mother nature. Reclamation projects that displaced communities and fishermen whose livelihoods are affected. #NoToReclamation
G. Quiboloy - The self-proclaimed anointed son of god. YAK! A pedophile, sex trafficker, scammer and child trafficker is wanted in the USA by the FBI. He can easily be extradited by the government; however, he is being protected by the powers that be and even has his own billboard along EDSA.
H. Fossil Fuel Treaty - Plastics are made from fossil fuels and corporations like Coca-cola have been one of the plastic chokers in the whole southeast asia. The Fossil Fuel Treaty is a global campaign for an international mechanism to manage a fast and fair transition away from coal, oil & gas. #ENDCLIMATEIMPERIALISM
I. Ate Rose - The struggle of all women domestic workers who are taking care of other people's children, but not their own. Ate Rose is a domestic worker whose labor is being exploited by her boss, who is also a woman. She is constantly overworked while receiving no social benefits and overtime pay. Proceeds of this piece goes to Ate Rose.Â
