It is more effective if you have an area that you take ownership over --Adopt a berm, a stormwater drain and related gutters. Adopt a park or a carpark. If you routinely walk a route you will be able to observe the ebb and flow of the litter and even picking up 3 or 5 or 10 pieces will make a difference.
