Description: Detail review of previously approved installation of historic gallery and review of other exterior changes based on SHPO feedback since previous approval of renovation of a Contributing rated two-story commercial building.

Previous ARC Recommendations & Commission Actions: 

• 11/27/2018: The ARC recommended conceptual approval with the final details to be worked out at Staff level. The ARC also agreed the brackets used for the planters should be simplified.

• 07/19/2018: The Commission voted to grant conceptual approval with the recommendations of the ARC and the final details to be worked out at the ARC level.

• 06/26/2018: The ARC recommended conceptual approval of the proposal with the details of the gallery at Chartres Street to return to the ARC for additional review.  The ARC agreed that the handrails at the Elysian Fields Ave gallery reconstruction should be detailed closer to the original condition as the proposed top and bottom rails appear much lighter than the original condition. Please submit the balcony details once they are further developed so that this proposal may be placed on a subsequent ARC agenda.
