This world, however beautiful, was never meant to be. The place that we would call our home for all eternity. And though we would not choose to leave, a loving God knows best, And in His time, He lifts us to a place of peace and rest. For He has built a mansion where His children will abide. Free from pain and sorrow, Forever at His side.

Myrtle Marie Love

To: Michelle, Monica, and the entire Love Family,

On behalf of the New Northside Missionary Baptist Church Media Ministry, we express our deepest sympathy and join others in sending condolences to your family and prayers to each of you due to the passing of your mom and our dear member Myrtle Love. In time of this great sorrow, we want to let you know that you are in our prayers.

We were deeply saddened to hear about her passing and cannot imagine how difficult this time must be for you. In 2 Corinthians 5:6-8: Paul states that he is confident in his eternal destiny and longs for the day when he can be “absent from the body” and be present with the Lord he loves and serves. Myrtle was ready for her reward, loved the Lord and she loved to serve! She played a vital role in the starting of what is now our Media Ministry. Myrtle was instrumental in creating our website and newsletter many years ago; she was always behind the scenes on the updates and upkeep of our current website. In fact, she was just at the recent election and stated she would continue to serve even in her illness behind the scenes.

On behalf of myself and our entire Media Ministry team we are together during this trying time and want to ask our heavenly Father to comfort each of you and give you courage day to day.

May the Lord sustain you in the coming days and shower you with grace and peace. We pray for your strength.

Humbly and Prayerfully Submitted By,

First Lady Carlotta Burton, President Media Ministry

The Everlasting Myrtle Tree

The walk from the park back to my house was so serene.

I noticed the beauty in every little thing.

Evergreen shined beautifully on the skyscrapers above me,

I overseen branches that held up the finest of leaves.

Although one of these scrappers caught my eye and it was a Myrtle Tree.

I adored its pure beauty and elegance.

It stood tall gave me all the answers I could ever need.

Its demeanor was calm flowing like the wind.

Its branches sprouted new branches to help every single bird near.

It was a home that wondering animals simply inhabited, this showed me several reasons why this Myrtle Tree was so talented.

It bloomed cloud star shaped colors.

Someone who nurtured this simply made a work of art.

While taking a seat by it, I noticed the abundance emitting upon it. Every living thing flocked around and became one with it.

I could lean my head on it for days, just like all the living things. Although I must simply depart and keep moving “On”

my journey back home I cried, I laughed, I smirked because that Myrtle Tree is burrowed deep in my little heart.

It blooms during the worst of times and is grounded during the best of times. So, I can eventually, sit down again and rewind the memories of our time,

now set apart.
