The Academic Track in the Strengthened Senior High School (SHS) Curriculum is designed for students who plan to pursue college or university education. It has been refined and updated to better prepare learners for higher education, research, and professional careers.
Instead of being divided into strands (like STEM, ABM, HUMSS, GAS), the new Academic Track is unified. Students build their learning journey by choosing from different elective clusters based on their goals.

→ These cover essential skills in communication, thinking, math, science, values, and Filipino identity.
Instead of fixed strands, students now choose 16 elective subjects from 9 Thematic Clusters, based on their personal goals and interests.

Cluster Electives Samples
STEM: Includes electives like Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Engineering Math. These subjects are ideal for students aiming for careers in science, medicine, or engineering.
Business & Entrepreneurship: Offers Accounting, Marketing, Business Management, and E-commerce. Perfect for those interested in business, finance, or starting their own enterprise.
Social Sciences & Humanities: Includes subjects like Psychology, Philosophy, Filipino Literature, and Political Science. Best suited for future educators, lawyers, writers, or social workers.
Arts & Design: Electives such as Creative Writing, Performing Arts, and Visual Arts. Designed for students with talents in music, dance, theater, or visual arts.
Information & Communications Technology (ICT): Offers Computer Programming, Multimedia Arts, and Web Design. Good for tech-savvy learners aiming for IT-related careers.
Health & Wellness: Includes Personal Fitness, Sports Science, and Health Education. Great for students interested in sports, physical therapy, or health science.
Agriculture & Family Life: Offers Crop Production, Food Processing, and Home Economics. Focuses on practical life skills and sustainable living.
Industrial Arts: Covers Automotive Servicing, Carpentry, and Electronics. Ideal for learners who want to gain hands-on technical skills.
Field Experience: Involves Internship, Research, Community Projects, and a Capstone Project. These are required in Grade 12 and help apply what students learned in real-world settings.
Students complete:

TechPro, short for Technical-Professional Track, is one of the two main educational pathways in the Strengthened SHS Curriculum. It replaces and combines the former Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) track, plus Arts & Design and Sports tracks, into a single practical skills-oriented track.
Prepares students for immediate employment, entrepreneurship, or middle-level skills development (TVET/TESDA certifications).

Industry Relevance: Offers hands-on skills training in areas employers value—like automotive, ICT, hospitality, food innovation, and more.
Immersion & Certification: Includes extensive work immersion (up to 320 hours) and opportunities for TESDA certification.
Flexible Elective Clusters: Students select from several specialized clusters—not locked into fixed strands.
Doorway Flexibility: Like the Academic Track, TechPro learners can choose electives across clusters to align with their goals—even from Academic clusters if needed.
Streamlined Core: Core subjects reduced from 15 to 5, giving students more focus and time for skill-based electives.
