We aim to provide necessary learning skills to our students, including innovative methods to solve mathematical problems, techniques to enhance reading and writing skills, and basic approaches to important scientific and technological advances. We hope that the profound academic experience provided by our passionate instructors will guide our students closer and closer to their future hopes and goals.”

Welcome

The Newton North High School Tutoring Organization is a student-run organization focused on providing free tutoring services to the K-8 student population in and around the Boston area.

We place a huge emphasis on a personalized connection between student and tutor, and believe teaching is our way to provide for our community and the greater world. Our tutoring services are focused on all major school subjects including English, Math, History, Science, and world languages. We also offer additional education on more unique subjects, such as Current Events and Computer Science, with the goal of helping our students develop an informed perspective on our modern society.

A Global Perspective

While there are many tutoring organizations united in the common goal of enhancing childhood education, NNHS Tutoring wishes to bring an issue of renewed importance to center stage. Founded in the midst of a tense political atmosphere during a global pandemic, NNHS Tutoring believes that part of the mission of teaching is binding together our current learning with the issues of today in order to provide the best insight possible. Contemporary issues evolving from history shape who we are today, and our tutors teach with an eye towards objectivity. We offer several different opportunities for students not only to master basic school subjects, but also to step out of their comfort zone and think about their place in society. Our goal is to enable students to think about the world with an educated and refined perspective, infused with the ability to change our present and provide for a better future.

A Collaborative Approach

Since our founding, we have reached out to schools in the greater Boston area. Through our partnerships, we are able to establish consistent bonds with students and are able to seek immediate feedback and information from teachers and parents. Who We Serve

We are originally based in Newton, Massachusetts but serve the K-8 student population in communities all around Boston.

However, in light of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we have opened up our virtual tutoring service to the greater United States.
