Prof. C L Khetrapal Award
NMRS India has instituted an annual award to honor late Prof C L Khetrapal, a towering personality who made pioneering contributions to the field of magnetic resonance and spearheaded the phenomenal growth of magnetic resonance activities across the country. The award shall be given annually to an outstanding Indian scientist working in any area of magnetic resonance for his/her lifetime contributions. The award carries a cash prize of $ 5000/- (Five thousand dollars only) instituted with the munificent donation by Bruker Biospin. The award also includes a gold medal equivalent of Rs 50,000 (fifty thousand only) derived annually from the interests earned out of the endowment fund received from the students and colleagues of Prof. Khetrapal.

Prof. H S Atreya Award
NMRS India has instituted an annual award in honour of late Prof H S Atreya, a young scientist who has made cutting edge research in the field of Magnetic Resonance. The award shall be given annually to an outstanding scientist working in any diversified area of magnetic resonance and its applications, for his/her scientific contributions, without any geographical restriction
Prof. S. Subramanian's 60th Birthday Lecture Award
The award is given annually to an outstanding scientist working in any area of magnetic resonance. The award has been instituted from an endowment received to honour Prof. S. Subramanian, formerly Professor of Chemistry at IIT-Madras and presently at NIH, Washington D.C., USA from his students and colleagues. It will be given annually to an outstanding scientist working in any area of magnetic resonance.

CBMR-NMRS Gold Medal Award
The Centre of Biomedical Research (CBMR), Lucknow in collaboration with the National Magnetic Resonance Society, India (NMRS) instituted a Gold Medal to encourage Young Scientists doing research in the area of magnetic resonance and its applications in India.
