Synthesis of High Crystalline Bulk 1D/2D Materials
We synthesize novel 1D/2D nanomaterials by using various method like solid state reaction and chemical vapor transport (CVT) reaction. Our recent studies are focused on synthesis of various material that are Nb2Se9, V2Se9, MoI3, Nb3I8 and ternary transition metal chalcogenides M2X3Y8 (M= Ta, Nb; X= Ni, Pd, Pt; Y= S, Se).
We analyze these 1D/2D materials with XRD, SEM, TEM, EDS, XPS, AFM, and UV-vis-NIR spectroscopy to find out the crystal structure, morphology and physical/chemical/optical properties.
Based on these properties, powder samples and crystals can be utilized for fabricating 1D/2D based semiconductor devices, sensors, batteries and catalysts.
