North Michigan Park is a residential neighborhood located in the Upper Northeast area of Washington, D.C., within Ward 5. It is generally considered to be bordered by Gallatin Street to the north, South Dakota Avenue to the west, Michigan Avenue to the south, and Eastern Avenue to the east.

In addition to civic efforts, community gatherings have long been a feature of the neighborhood, notably with the Department of Recreation hosting "Summer in the Parks" throughout the 1970s, 80s, and 90s, where neighbors and children would regularly convene.
