My goal as a teacher is not only to encourage students to strive to be more but to be understanding and compassionate, especially in the times that they need it. It is our eternal job as educators to guide the next generation on the right path but you never the internal battles they fight. However, I am persistent in setting high expectations regardless of skill level. Whether its beginners, intermediate or advanced players I always strive to bring out the best in my students not just on a musical level but a personal level as well. In my teaching experience so far, I have kept that mentality locked down tight. I approach my students with excitement to teach and to enlighten, I give understanding and compassion when they need it most, and I work towards my goal of making sure they become so much more.
