The Parkhill Co-op
Sandford Tudor, the former manager of the Hastings Hotel, built the Tudor House on this plot 1879. Tudor went on to sell the hotel, and it became Franklin House. The photo shown was taken in 1912, when an unknown catastrophe damaged the side of the building
The building was also home to the North Middlesex Cooperative Credit Union. This bank was founded in 1956, but moved in 1962 to 179 King Street. The business is now known as Mainstreet Credit Union, and sits at 260 Main Street.
For many years, the Hensall Co-op occupied the space. The structure was torn down in 2020.
In 2023, the new Parkhill Fire and EMS Station was unveiled. This new addition to the town of Parkhill is a source of pride for the local residents.
