Proceed west down the north side of Main St.
Site is on the northwest corner of Jamieson and Main St.
The original town hall was located behind 132 Main St, but in 1904 it was decided that a new town hall should be built.
Built in 1906, the Town Hall was once used as a concert hall, a "lock up", and housed council chambers and meeting rooms. Over the years, it has also been used as a library, storage for firefighting equipment, as well as the town works department.
Following the amalgamation of North Middlesex in 2000, Ye Olde Towne Hall, as the building is now known, is managed by a committee to continue to provide a place for entertainment and rental space in Ailsa Craig.
The Ailsa Craig Arts Centre has operated out of the back of town hall since 2017. The Centre features a small gallery, and hosts a number of creative arts classes and special interest groups.
