Prior to the fire of 1923, Chapman's shoe store was located here. After the fire, Ben Nichols constructed this building and operated it as a garage.
Albert Bridgette operated a GM dealership here from 1951 to 1969, and also operated a drugstore in the front.
Jim Walsh operated the garage into the 1970s until he opened his new garage across the road.
This building now houses the Ailsa Craig & District Food Bank and Thrift Store.
