Proceed down the south side of Main St.
Site is the current location of Clover Farm.
The site where the current grocery store building sits was once the location of three seperate buildings.
The first building that sat on this lot was Nablo's tailor shop, owned by Edwin Nablo.
The next building was J.H. McKay's general store. The Oddfellows Lodge was in the second floor of the building.
The third building that sat on this lot was a dry goods store called White & May. It was one of a chain of three stores; the parent store was in St. Marys and another branch was in Parkhill.
All three buildings were lost to the fire in 1923, although Nablo's was vacant at the time.
In 1929, the Oddfellows constructed the building that we see today, you may note the name present on the top of the building. The upstairs was used as a hall and meeting place for the Oddfellows, and the downstairs housed a grocery store and dry-goods store.
In 1971, the building was purchased by John Bender. He soon turned the whole downstairs into a grocery store. In the 80's the Mins purchased the building, and it was run by Mike and Sarah Cronyn. The building was sold in 2019, to Yogesh Prajapati, Pragnesh Patel, and Prakash Patel.
