Site is on the southwest corner of George and Jamieson St.
On March 8, 1871, a council consisting of local church representatives met and formally recognized a small Baptist Church that met in the home of John Hughes. William G. Shipley donated a village lot, and the church was constructed later that year for a cost of $1600.
The church served the community for over 100 years, and closed in 1987 due to a dwindling congregation. A small community church operated at this location for a time, before the North Middlesex Historical Society took possession of the building in 2002. After extensive renovations, it is now home to the Donald Hughes Annex Museum.
