Sponsored by IEEE ITSS Technical Committee on Naturalistic Driving Data Analytics
Naturalistic driving data has long been the gold standard for understanding driver responses to the driving environment. The next innovation involves expanding this data collection to include activity monitoring and physiological data using scalable and user-friendly technology, potentially involving up to 100,000 users.
Naturalistic Health and Mobility Data 4.0 (NMHD 4.0) represents a cutting-edge, privacy-aware, and economical method for observing subject mobility and health data utilizing Industry 4.0 technology. NMHD 4.0 leverages advanced technologies such as edge computing, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence to enhance data collection accuracy, efficiency, and scope in real-world driving scenarios. By employing a smartphone and wearable technology-based app, NMHD 4.0 aims to collect extensive data from a vast number of subjects.
The primary objective of NMHD 4.0 is to revolutionize the collection, processing, and utilization of data on driving behavior, daily activities, health measurements, and environmental factors. This transformation will pave the way for research in transportation safety and leverage mobility and health data to predict the onset of diseases and events.
This workshop aims to bring together a community of researchers and practitioners working on similar data and datasets to brainstorm and accelerate scientific advancements.
