Manifesto

Are you human? Humans need social contact in order to be happy.

We the New Media Collective for Living Closer than 6 Feet Apart say this:

We, the collective, are a response to help us humans appreciate the pleasures of what human beings have to offer, this includes the creation of art and understanding through creative media. We offer laughter, love, presence, narrative, experimentation and introspection. Our collective is a generation that is growing into the power of adulthood. We remember how important giving two kisses on cold cheeks can warm a heart, or how 15 minutes with a friend can be timeless. We celebrate culture and that media can be a powerful source to form human connections. Film, art and media reflect the best and the worst of what humanity can actualize. We wish to actualize change. We strive to be "The Other". We are a counterculture of positivity that forges closeness, expressing ourselves in a way others can understand, through movement, touch, color, shape and vibration. We the NMCLC6FA hope to bridge this experience and foster inclusivity. In this age of distance and fractured community we wish to bring humanity closer to a different place through art and thought, one in which people are free with no bounds and free to create. We wish for all senses to be aware and experience something new through visual image, narrative and sound; something old, something you know but you don't, something weirdly normal and normally weird.

Creativity, freedom, and closeness!

The NMCLC6FA
