A statewide partnership advancing civic learning and democratic engagement for New Mexico students
The New Mexico Civics Diploma Seal honors students who apply civic knowledge, ethical reasoning, and community engagement to strengthen democracy in New Mexico. By integrating civic literacy, service learning, and culturally responsive understanding of local, state, tribal, and national governance, the seal empowers students to achieve meaningful civic participation and leadership.

Time: 10 AM - 4:30 PM
Followed by a happy hour social gathering at Flock of Moons from 4:30-6:30 pm.
Purpose:
The purpose of this symposium is to bring together educators, policymakers, community leaders, and civic organizations to discuss the potential development of a New Mexico Civics Diploma Seal and what such a recognition might mean for students, schools, and the state.
