Sub: Renaming MCI Advance Course in MET to “Fellowship in Medical Education –FIME”: Decision taken at the Executive Committee meeting held on 02.03.2015 on the recommendations of the Academic Committee meeting held on 30^th January, 2015 on the above subject & approval at the General Body meeting held on March 26-27, 2015 reg.

Madam/Sir,

The Executive Committee meeting held on 02-03-2015 approved the recommendations of the Academic Committee meeting held on 30^th January, 2015 and decided as under:

The Academic Committee recommended that the Advance Course in ME be renamed as ‘Fellowship in Medical Education’ (FIME) and will be re-named to be so from the first Advance Course in Medical Education conducted by the Nodal Centres recognized by the Medical Council of India.

The above decision was approved at the meeting of the General Body of the Council held on March 26-27, 2015.

I am pleased to bring the above matter to the notice of all concerned for necessary action. In view of this, the Advance Course stands renamed as Fellowship in Medical Education (FIME).
