Mariam HASSAN, Postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Structure of Matter (CNR-ISM, Roma, Italy) and visiting researcher at the University of Augsburg (Germany). Her research activity is focused on the study of magnetic thin film multilayers and synthetic antiferromagnets for novel spintronic devices on rigid and flexible substrates The research activity is carried-out under the supervision of Dr. G. Varvaro (CNR-ISM, Roma, Italy) and Prof. M. Albrecht (Un. Augsburg, Germany). In 2021, she got her PhD degree in Industrial Engineering (Curriculum: Material Engineering) from Politecnica University of Marche (Italy) with a thesis titled “Perpendicularly magnetized synthetic antiferromagnets for flexible spintronic and biomedical applications” (supervisors: Prof. G. Barucca - Un. Pol. Marche, Ancona - and Dr. G. Varvaro - CNR-ISM -). In 2017, during her Master’s thesis, she worked on the characterization of Ge15Sb85 phase change materials grown by pulsed laser deposition (thesis title: “Physical properties of Ge15Sb85 thin films prepared by pulsed laser deposition”). Her research activity was witnessed by 5 ISI papers and more than 10 contributions to national and international conferences and schools (h-index: 3, source: Google Scholar).
