Dr. Anil is an expert in hydrogen storage systems and his lab currently possesses PCT pro machine for measuring gas sorption properties of materials.
Their lab is capable of performing simulations even at cryogenic temperature and up to 110 bar pressure.
PCT pro machine uses a micro doser for testing a sample size of 20-25 mg. These samples firstly will be held in vacuum at 1e-7 mbar for 12h.
And then adsorption isotherms will be created up to 100 bar pressure.
For hydrogen adsorption experimental setup at such high pressures, selection of appropriate parts is important regarding safety.
As hydrogen leads to embrittlement and could leak out of the system and could cause explosions.
Currently, Argon and hydrogen cylinder have been purchased.
Vacuum pump is also purchased.
Pipes, connectors and valves have been selected and their order has been placed.
Graphene samples have also been purchased.
After assembly of these parts, rigorous tests will be performed for checking leakages at pressures of 100 bar. And then experiments will be conducted.
