For players with little to no experience. Students will learn the basic shots first such as the forehand and the backhand. They will learn to direct the ball, being able to utilise cross court shots as well as down the line shots. They will be able to have longer and more fun rallies on the court. Students will have to master these two shots in order to move to the next level.
After mastering the forehand and the backhand, students will learn the serve. The serve is the most technical part of the game, as well as one of the most important. Students will learn both the flat serve as well as the kick serve, to be able to adapt to in match situation. With the serve in their arsenal, they will be able to play points and start getting into playing matches.
With the forehand, the backhand and the serve in their arsenal, students will be able to play more matches and get into the tactical side of the game. Such as playing cross court and playing into your opponent's weaknesses. They will also unlock the net game, being able to approach the net at the right time and how to use volleys as a strong weapon. Players can now play full matches and even compete in tournaments.
With now having the ground strokes and the volleys, it's all about finding more options. The main focus will be tactical and mental. The player will learn how to control their opponents, to be able to win more points and matches. They will also learn to have the right mindset during a point, learn to not be overwhelmed by stress and anger. Players will still learn a few more shots, such as the slice, the overhead smash and the drop shot. They can now win more matches and play in tournaments.
