I am a PhD candidate at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, National University of Singapore, supported by the Lee Kuan Yew Fitzwilliam-NUS PhD Scholarship. My research sits at the intersection of labour economics, gender economics, and development economics, with a particular focus on developing countries. In my dissertation, I examine how gender norms and cultural practices shape women’s participation, choices, and outcomes in the Indonesian labour market.
Before pursuing my PhD, I held the role of Senior Researcher at The SMERU Research Institute based in Jakarta, Indonesia. I gained several years of experience conducting research on the topics of poverty and inequality, with responsibilities that included designing research and primary data collection strategies, analyzing data, and engaging with policymakers.
