I am an economist in the Western Hemisphere Department of the IMF. Prior to that I spent more than three years in the World Economic Studies Division of the IMF’s Research Department, where I contributed to chapters of the World Economic Outlook. I also helped prepare the IMF chief economist’s presentations. Previously, I worked in the IMF’s Asia Pacific Department and Finance Department. I have participated in missions to Korea, Cambodia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, and San Marino. I have also contributed to the Fund’s surveillance work on the United States and worked on issues related to Fund finances. My research interests include monetary policy, public policy, and labor market issues, and I have published in the Review of Economic Studies; IMF Economic Review; Energy Economics; Journal of Credit, Money and Banking;  Labor Economics; Journal of Health Economics; and Journal of Economic Inequality. I hold a Ph.D. in Economics from the Institute for International Economic Studies at Stockholm University, an MPhil in Economics from University of Cambridge, and an MSc in Economics from University of Copenhagen (cand polit).  Before joining the Fund, I was at the OECD and the Danish Ministry of Finance.  You can download my full CV here
