The purpose of step two was to figure out what product the customer wants and the quantity that comes with it. One of the SAP software functions that was used was the search capability, which allows the users to look up customer or material numbers and dates efficiently.

Key F4 is used to select and access detailed information of possible input values for a specific field that has been clicked.

The purpose of step three in the sales order process was to add delivery notes to the order that was placed. One SAP function used is looking up shipping points in order to create a delivery document, that helps begin the processing of the sales order.

The main purpose of step four in the sales order process was to take the actual material that was purchased and then moving it to the packaging area to be send to the buyer. One SAP software function used is the F4 key.

The main purpose of step five in the sales order process is to post gods status. It represents the transfer of legal ownership of the goods from the seller to the buyer. One SAP software that was used in step five is to change the delivery document to confirm the outbound delivery has been saved.

The purpose of step six is to invoice the customer that the order has been shipped and payment is now due. One SAP function used is to process the billing due list, by creating invoice for the customers.

The purpose of step seven is to let the customer know that the payment has been received as well as recording the transaction. One SAP function used is accounting, by entering the quantity received and processing it on accounts receivable.
