Hi, welcome to my homepage!
I am Dr. Nitu Lakhmara. I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate under the supervision of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Maartje Boon, in the Porous Media Research Group at the Institute of Applied Mechanics, University of Stuttgart. I earned my Ph.D. degree from the Department of Mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur, West Bengal, India, under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Hari Shankar Mahato.
I am currently focused on the study of diffuse interface models. My primary objective is to develop, mathematically analyze, and obtain numerical results for promising models with significant applications. My work primarily involves using Cahn-Hilliard-type equations to create and test mathematical models that can help us understand and predict the behavior of such systems. I am eager to explore further opportunities in new research areas to broaden my knowledge and contribute to the advancement of our understanding of complex multiphase systems.
In addition to my research interests, I am deeply committed to teaching. I have served as a teaching assistant for a range of courses that run on the Swayam-NPTEL website.
