Originated in the early middle ages, the Church of Caine is also known as the Cainite Heresy. Originally thought destroyed by the Sabbat, the Church is all but massively resurgent in the 21st century.
Its members are known as Gonstics and believe in the unified belief of Caine being the Gods angel of revenge and vampires his helpful spirits. This contradicts the general notion that Kindred are cursed and instead of cursed the Church treats all Kindred as blessed and with a glorious purpose of cleansing the earth from hell's own who reside here.
The Gnostics see all vampires as worthy of saving, yet for the enemies of the Church, devil worshiping Kindred and other enemies of the Church, redemption might come in form of Diablerie and some like the Bahari are just seeing the picture wrong and therefore are last on the list of those to be saved from hell and their own Beasts.
Members of the Church can usually be identified by wearing religious symbols of their own faiths in defiance of the belief that holy symbols repel vampires. Yet this is done without dehonestation of said faiths.
Hierarchy
The Church of Caine is structured like an actual church. Built up from the believers up to the Metropolitan who is Caines representative if Caine himself would be unavailable to take up his mantle. They care little for lineage or clan, their centralized power comes from the Crimson Curia, their inner governing body composed of priests.
Congregation/The Flock
Most believers are. They can hear liturgy, but not sacraments.
Doorkeepers
Guards of the faith. Can participate in sacraments.
Acolytes
Several duties: arranging meetings, aiding priests, and acquiring Church Artifacts. They have firewalked at least and encourage others to take sacraments.
Vergers
Wandering vampire who spreads the teachings. Technically holds no official sway over the Church.
Lectors
Readers during service. They are the same as acolytes, but more trusted with this honorific title.
Deacons
Church administrator, may fill in for priests, largely deals with business and upkeep. Above acolytes.
Priest/Church Leaders
Oversees sacraments, preaches doctrine, and communicates with the faith community. Must have once been a deacon.
Bishop
Responsible for keeping the order together and furthering Dark Father's agenda. A select few make up the Crimson Curia. Above deacon and priests.
The Metropolitan
Currently vacant, reserved for Caine or someone who can channel his will. If one is appointed here they are head of the Church.
Every Church of Caine member should have at least one of these
Convictions:
• Never unwillingly allow the Beast to take over
• Never succumb to fear
• Let nobody prevent you from growing closer to Caine
• Feed only from hell’s denizens
• Do not consort with the lowest beings of hell
• Never brook an insult to Caine’s divinity
