Costume ideas : Nosferatu

King in Yellow

Ex-Ductus turned Camarilla saboteur

Clan: Nosferatu

Costume tour:

Make up: starting from the dark eyes and lenses, you add clear latex to your face, push oatmeal and lentils into it for texture of damaged and boiled up skin. This is fixed in place with another layer of latex. You can add wear and tear via toothpick. Finish it off by adding the pale effect with some rather bright toned makeup.

Too many layers and holes: King in Yellow is a Beggar King archetype, so overdressing helps to show his status in society and resources. In between the layers there’s also room to hide things - small trinkets, fake vermin, …

Trappings: the hangman's noose around the neck signifies a ritualistic protection on him and how he was sacrificed by his peers before the Embrace. The skin and flesh masque is of his domain’s Bishop who wanted to sacrifice his Cainites to save his own unlife. King in Yellow betrayed, captured and tortured the Bishop for the Camarilla, keeping the flayed face to mock those who follow without question and thought, as he has become sort of a Court’s jester and advisor in one person.

Final touch: keeping an open old fish can and burned out cheap cigarettes in his pockets sells the unbearable Nosferatu curse and bad smell that follows him around.

Luczrecia Belladona

Bahari Witch with personality cult

Clan: Toreador

Costume tour:

Style: Back in black this season and every season. While it might as well be the credo of Clan Toreador, their guild-like structure and connection to mortals ensures this style of fashion is always in. Make-up, dress, and accessories create who people see when they look at you. And many do fall head over heels for a vampire goth princess. With features resembling a corset, claw-like finger tips, and lots of rings, the tough and dark style has an undertone of femininity due to flower patterns on pantohoses and sleeves. Styled hair and makeup, as well as funky glasses, but the final touch are the lenses that open a gateway to all kinds of fantasies and add mystery. Oh an why black? You can not see dried blood on it!

Power of pose: Dressing up is one thing, but striking a pose, having a walk, and knowing how to use etiquette and how to talk to whom is another level. Lukrezia is fascinated by mortals as much as she likes to play games with them and control them. Here, you can see her in a clearly coquette pose, watching her pet intently, only to see what happens once her favorite becomes somebody else.

Playing the Masquerade: While Camarilla would frown upon anything that would pass on social media or in the public as betraying the secret of the Blood, the Bahari are mistresses of subtlety and therefore don’t tend to bring unwanted attention to themselves. Only the attention that they want. Besides, what self-respecting Hunter would want to end up with a dead goth girl who carries plastic fangs in her purse on their record?
