I am Nitin Desai, Prime Minister's Research Fellow currently working in the Advanced Technology Development Centre at IIT Kharagpur. My research is focused on Industrial Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Design and Simulation of robotic systems with a specific emphasis on the development of industrial bin picking and robotic systems for hazardous jobs in manufacturing (Inspection, sampling). I am working on improving the pick and place operation by utilizing deep learning approaches such as 6D pose estimation, deep learning-based robot grasping, path planning optimization, image segmentation, and gripper design (End-Effector).

I am passionate about exploring new technologies and innovative approaches to solve complex problems in the field of industrial automation. Through my research, I am aiming to advance the capabilities of industrial robotics, which has a wide range of practical applications in various industries. I am dedicated to making a significant contribution to the field of Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning, and I am confident that my work will have a positive impact on the future of industrial automation.
