About Laboratory

究極の3次元映像技術と呼ばれる電子ホログラフィ技術を中心に，プロジェクタ，カメラ，ヘッドマウントディスプレイなどのデバイスを用いた，新しいメディアシステムの構築を目指しています．研究の中心は電子ホログラフィの高速計算です．近似や置換などを用いた高速化や，ハードウェアの特性を考慮した式変換等を行い，実際にハードウェアへの実装を検討します．計算高速化や見た目に動くシステムを作りたいという方との共同研究を模索しています．

We aim to construct new media systems using devices such as projectors, cameras, and head-mounted displays, centered around the technology of electronic holography, which is called the ultimate 3D imaging technology. The core of our research is the high-speed computation of electronic holography. We work on speeding up the process through approximations and substitutions, formula transformations considering the characteristics of hardware, and examining the implementation into actual hardware. We are exploring collaborative research with those who wish to create systems that compute quickly and appear to move visually.

About Nishitsuji

1989年2月，千葉県千葉市生まれ．大学院まで千葉市内の千葉好き．千葉大学 伊藤・下馬場・角江研究室出身．コンフローレ室内合奏団出身．学長表彰2件，研究科長表彰1件．◆修士修了後に三菱電機(株)情報総研に入社．主に監視カメラシステムに関する研究開発に5年間従事，在職中に業務外内容で博士号を取得．大学との共同研究担当，新規事業創出PRJにも参加．所長表彰1回．趣味：研究と紹介される．◆退職後，東京都立大・システムデザイン・電子情報の助教として5年間在籍．朝香卓也研究室で大学教員としてのいろはを学びつつ，群知能を用いたP2Pネットワーク等について共同研究を実施．統計の基本も学ぶ．途中，何かに目覚め，中型二輪，大型二輪の免許を取得．徒歩通勤中の人命救助で警察より表彰．◆2023年より地元・東邦大の講師として着任，Computational Media Systems 研究室を立ち上げ．同年10月より学生受け入れ開始．専門はホログラフィ，高速計算，各種メディアシステム技術としているが，年齢の割に経歴が豊富（と自負）なので，守備範囲はたぶん広め．

Takashi Nishitsuji is a junior associate professor at Toho University, Japan. He received B.E. and M.E. degrees from Chiba University in 2011 and 2013 and a Ph.D. degree in engineering from Chiba University in 2016. He was a researcher of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation Information Technology R&D center from 2013 to 2018.  He was an assiatant professor at Tokyo Metropolitan University from 2018 to 2023. His research interests include computer-holography, high-performance computing, image processing, and social simulation.

ようやく研究室の体が整ってきたので，主に東邦大学の学生（特に，情報科学科）や進学希望の学生を中心に見学を受け入れます．事前に西辻のメールアドレスまで連絡を頂いた上でお越しください．突然の訪問には対応できない場合が多いです．

Now that our laboratory is finally set up, we mainly welcome visits from students of Toho University (especially those from the Department of Information Science) and students who wish to advance their studies. Please contact us in advance via Nishitsuji's email address before your visit. We often cannot accommodate unexpected visits.
