Nisai Habit Tracker ("the App", "we", "us") is a habit-tracking application developed by an independent developer. We designed the App to be privacy-first and offline-first. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.
SUMMARY
The App has no server of our own. It does not require an account, does not ask you to sign up, and does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data to us or to any third party. Your habit data stays on your device unless you choose to enable optional cloud backup to your own Google Drive.
DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE
All of your content — the habits you create, your daily check-ins, notes, streaks, reminders, and app settings — is stored locally on your device in the App's private database. We do not have access to this data. If you uninstall the App, this local data is removed by your operating system.
OPTIONAL GOOGLE DRIVE SYNC (BACKUP)
The App offers an optional feature to back up and sync your habit data across your own devices. If you turn this on:
- Your data is stored inside the private "app data" area (appDataFolder) of your own Google Drive account.
- This area is only accessible by the App on your account — it is not visible to other apps and is not visible to us. We never receive or store a copy of your data.
- We request only the minimum Google Drive permission needed for this app-private storage. We do not access your other Drive files.
- You can disable sync at any time, and you can delete the backed-up data by removing the App's data from your Google account.
Your use of Google Drive is also governed by Google's Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy).
ON-DEVICE AI FEATURES
Any AI coaching or insight features run entirely on your device. Your habit data is NOT sent to us or to any external AI service for these features. Nothing leaves your device for AI processing.
NOTIFICATIONS
The App can send you local reminder notifications that you schedule yourself. These are generated on your device and are not sent through us.
DATA WE DO NOT COLLECT
We do not collect names, email addresses, contacts, location, advertising identifiers, or analytics/usage tracking through our own systems. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs.
PURCHASES
If the App offers paid features, payments are processed by the app store (Google Play) and/or our payment provider. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Those providers handle payment data under their own privacy policies.
CHILDREN
The App is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
YOUR RIGHTS
Because your data is stored on your device (and, if enabled, in your own Google Drive), you remain in full control. You can edit or delete any habit or entry inside the App, disable sync, and remove all data by uninstalling the App.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
