The idea of the new police station emerges from observing and studying existing types — typically courtyard buildings enclosed by passages and surrounding rooms.
The first design move was to open up these enclosed spaces, introducing transparency and allowing the building to breathe. This creates a stronger connection between the interior and its surroundings, letting the environment become part of the building itself.
At the same time, the structure stands independently in its context, giving it a strong civic presence within society.
The building stretches fully to its boundary on one side while remaining shorter on the other, creating an open foreground space that invites people to sit and engage with the building. This openness also allows clear visibility of the structure from the road.
The program is oriented for accessibility from multiple sides, providing several entry and exit points. This helps in organizing the functions vertically each floor can operate independently while maintaining connectivity throughout the building.
The gradation of privacy within spaces reinforces the idea of transparency in the overall built form.
The upper level is designed for semi-public and police use offering spaces for dining, resting, and working making it both functional and humane.
