I am a graduate student pursuing MS in Computer Science at University of Massachusetts Amherst [Expected graduation: May 2021]. My goal is to harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) to solve challenging problems in healthcare and contribute to the understanding of human brain.
Prior to this, I graduated with BS & MS Dual Degree in Biological Sciences, from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras. My interest in AI were largely shaped by courses like Principles of Neuroscience, Computational Neuroscience, Machine Learning and Deep Learning Specialisation (by Prof. Andrew Ng). As part of my masters' project, I worked under Prof. Srinivasa Chakravarthy in the Computational Neuroscience Laboratory. I joined the same lab as a project associate where I lead the Neuromotive Team and developed a bio-inspired visual attention model. In my free time, I like to play guitar and chess.
Research interests: Artificial Intelligence, Neuroscience, Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning
