  • Sujith Ravi is a Senior Staff Research Scientist and Manager at Google, leading the company’s large-scale graph-based machine learning platform and on-device machine learning efforts that power natural language understanding and image recognition for products used by millions of people everyday in Search, Gmail, Photos, Android, YouTube, and Allo.Dr. Ravi has authored more than 60 scientific publications and patents in top-tier conferences, his work was featured in numerous press articles and won the ACM SIGKDD Best Research Paper Award in 2014. He is the Co-Chair (AI & Deep Learning) for the 2019 National Academy of Engineering (NAE) Frontiers of Engineering symposium (GAFOE) .
  • Wei Chai is a Senior Staff Engineer and eng manager at Google, leading Google Play personalization and Android on-device ML efforts. The team applies ML both on the cloud and on device to improve end-to-end user experience on mobile. Prior to Google, Wei worked in several research groups at GE, AOL and Ebay, focusing on applying ML to finance, audio, search and ads products.
  • Yangqing Jia is a director of engineering at Facebook. He currently leads Facebook's AI platform team, which serves as the backbone of Facebook AI products, such as ranking, computer vision, natural language processing, speech recognition, mobile AI, and AR. He has worked on a series of deep learning frameworks such as Caffe and TensorFlow over the years. Before Facebook, Yangqing was a research scientist at Google Brain, and obtained his PhD degree at UC Berkeley.
  • Hrishikesh (Hrishi) Aradhye is the Director and head of Machine Intelligence for Google’s mobile platforms and ecosystems (Android, Chrome, and Google Play). These three products are three of the seven 1 Billion monthly active user products at Google. Hrishi’s efforts are focused on building innovative, ML-enabled consumer experiences for these products on one hand and enabling developers via mobile ML platforms on the other. Prior to this role, Hrishi was the director of engineering for search and personalization on the Google Play store, and before then he was a senior lead at the machine perception team at Google Research. Prior to Google, Hrishi was principal investigator at SRI working on computer vision and machine learning.
  • Prateek Jain is a researcher at Microsoft Research, India. He received his PhD in Computer Science from University of Texas at Austin and his B.Tech. in Computer Science from IIT Kanpur. He is interested in high-dimensional statistics/optimization, non-convex optimization, and numerical linear algebra. He has served on several senior program committees for top ML conferences and also won ICML-2007, CVPR-2008 best student paper awards.
