  • Dr. Hrishikesh Aradhye: Hrishikesh (Hrishi) Aradhye if the Director and head of Machine Intelligence for Google’s mobile platforms and ecosystems (Android, Chrome, and Google Play). These three products are three of the seven 1 Billion monthly active user products at Google. Hrishi’s efforts are focused on building innovative, ML-enabled consumer experiences for these products on one hand and enabling developers via mobile ML platforms on the other. Prior to this role, Hrishi was the director of engineering for search and personalization on the Google Play store, and before then he was a senior lead at the machine perception team at Google Research. Prior to Google, Hrishi was principal investigator at SRI working on computer vision and machine learning.


  • Dr. Joaquin Quiñonero Candela: Joaquin Quiñonero Candela is the Director of Applied Machine Learning (AML) at Facebook, driving product impact at scale through applied research in machine learning, language technologies, computer vision, computational photography, augmented reality and other AI disciplines. AML has built the Facebook AI platform and the Caffe2 deep learning framework that power every use of AI across the company, the algorithmic stack to understand and personalize content, and the technology that drives new product experiences such as the camera effects platform and new chatbot experiences on Messenger. Prior to Facebook, Joaquin worked at Microsoft Research in Cambridge, UK and was a guest lecturer in ML at the University of Cambridge.


  • Rohit Prasad: Rohit Prasad is Vice President and Head Scientist for Alexa at Amazon. He leads R&D in speech recognition, natural language understanding, and machine learning technologies to enhance customer interactions with Amazon’s products and services. Prior to joining Amazon, Rohit was the Deputy Manager and Sr. Director for Speech, Language, and Multimedia Business Unit at Raytheon BBN Technologies. In that role, he was directing US Government sponsored R&D efforts in speech-to-speech translation, psychological health analytics, document image translation, and STEM learning. Rohit is a named author on over 100 scientific articles and holds several patents.
