Here is a list of important events for the admission of Secondary(class 10th) and Senior Secondary(class 12th) students.
Applicants must fulfill all the eligibility criteria before filling the application form. Only eligible aspirants can fill the application form. The eligibility criteria to secure admission in secondary and senior secondary examinations are given below.
For NIOS class 10th Admission:
The student must be 14 years of age as on 31st January 2021 to take up Block Ⅰ examination.
The minimum age is 14 years before 31st July for the Block Ⅱ examination (Born on or before 31st Jan 2006).
A student has to produce a class Ⅷ certificate from a recognized Board. This is to establish a minimum qualification.
A self-certificate of minimum qualification is also eligible for Secondary Courses.
For NIOS class 12th Admission:
The minimum age of a candidate must be 15 years as on 31st January 2021 for Block Ⅰ examinations.
A student must be 15 years of age as on 31st July 2021 for Block Ⅱ examinations.
The candidate must have a Class Ⅹ certificate from a recognized Board.
The students need to fill up the online application form to secure NIOS admission in stream 1 examinations. Applicants must recollect all the documents before filling the online form.
Follow these steps to fill up the online application form.
1. Registration
Visit the official website i.e., www.nios.ac.in to register for online admission. You can also contact our NIOS admission center in Haridwar
Fill the asked details and click the “SUBMIT” button.
In the next step, fill up the 4 sections- Basic Details, Personal Details, Subject Selection, and Study center selection carefully.
2. Basic Details
Enter basic details like father name, mother name, mobile no., and email ID.
Click on “Generate OTP” and verify it.
Also, fill the personal details like Permanent Address, Present Address, caste, category, etc.
3. Upload Documents carefully
Upload the scanned copy of your original ID proofs, photograph, and other required documents.
Click on the “NEXT” button.
Now your username and password are generated. Keep them safe and personal.
4. Subject selection
Select the subjects as per your desired course.
Give original qualification details.
5. Study center selection
Select the study center wisely. Choose the nearest NIOS study center in Bihar.
You are allowed to select a maximum of 3 study centers.
Ex: A student from Bihar should select a Study center of NIOS Haridwar. It offers integrated coaching and will help you prepare well for the upcoming NIOS examination.
6. Review Them
Click on the “Review” button after filling all the details and uploading all the documents.
Check all the details once again.
Click the “NEXT” button.
7. Make Payment
Don’t rush in this last step to make payment.
Select any payment mode of your choice and pay the online application fee.
You will then receive a Fee Payment Receipt via email and SMS.
8. Get a Printout
Take a printout of the filled-in application form. Keep it safe for future needs.
NOTE: The NIOS admission is valid for five years from the date of registration. A total of 9 chances are allowed to complete the NIOS course.
किसी भी मान्यता प्राप्त बोर्ड जैसे (BSEB, CBSE, NIOS) के फेल विद्यार्थी अपने दो विषयो का अंक BBOSE या NIOS बोर्ड में ट्रांसफर (T.O.C) कर कोई भी 3 विषयो का एग्जाम देकर विषयो का एग्जाम देकर 2 महीने में पास करने का मौका प्राप्त कर सकते है।
Class 10th:
Recent Passport size color Photograph (6 Copies)
A valid ID Proof (Aadhar Card or Passport, etc.)
Signature (ideally in Black Ink)
Valid Date of Birth (DOB) Proof (Birth Certificate or Aadhaar Card with DOB printed on it)
Class 8th mark sheet or Self Certificate is a must for Class 10th students.
Valid Residence proof (Aadhaar Card with a complete address printed on it, /Ration card/ valid Passport/Water Bill/Rental Agreement)
Social category/Caste certificate (a student belongs to SC/ST/OBC social category)
Ex-serviceman certificate (if a student belongs to an Ex-serviceman)
Fail Mark sheet of last Board, failing which the Transfer of Credit (TOC) marks will not be updated in NIOS result.
Class 12th:
Recent Passport size color Photograph (6 Copies)
Signature (ideally in Black Ink)

Certificate of Disability (if a state of disability)
Ex-serviceman certificate (if a student belongs to an Ex-serviceman)
