An expedition led by Misako, Master Wu, Clutch Powers and his assistants goes missing while exploring an uncharted island in the storm belt. The ninja must pick up their trail with the help of Timothy “Twitchy Tim” Batterson. Tim journeyed to the island years ago but was still scared to go due to being struck by lightning 12 times at the Island. Reluctantly, he agrees to help.  

 After surviving their journey, the ninja venture to the island where they unexpectedly befriend a friendly dragon and name it Zippy, and are ambushed by living statues. While trying to escape the stone guardians, Nya, Zane, Kai and Cole are captured by the Keepers and encounter Misako, Master Wu and Clutch Powers in captivity. Luckily, Lloyd and Tim manage to escape.

The Ninja have to watch how Jay is to be given away by the Keepers in order to appease the reawakened storm spirit Wojira.
