Born during the time before Gold Roger, Xiang Liu has no memory of who his parents were. As a Fishman, he was captured at a young age, almost before he could remember, by the Celestial Dragons. Thrown into a fighting pit, he grew up entertaining them by fighting to the Death every night. It was during this time that he discovered his innate abilities, attributes that are rare even among Fishmen. Then one night he was given a pile of rotten fruit, one of which shifted into a devil fruit within his hands. The fruit seemed to be a collection of nine berries that looked as though they had been frosted over. Uncaring of what would happen he consumed the fruit. Upon the manifestation of his fruit's abilities, he shifted for the first time into his demon form, The Nine-Headed Sea Demon.
His new form was so large that it decimated the fighting ring and gambling hall that the ring was located in. His nine heads reigned down terror upon the Celestial Dragons before he fled upon the arrival of a Navy Admiral sent to protect the Holy Land of Mary Geoise. Falling from the top of the Red Line and disappearing into the sea. Since that time a bounty has been posted for him at the amount of 9,000,000,000 beri Dead Only. The level so high due to the destruction that he brought to the Celestial Dragons. However, due to his nine heads, he now has nine faces and chooses a different one from his original features to live under, hiding even the markings that would show his Fishman heratiage.
Thus he wanders the four seas and grandline. Watching as time and lives move on while he remains trapped and alone. Seeking some purpose in life and taking revenge upon any Celestial Dragon that he finds outside of the protective net of the Navy.

The Mythical Zoan Model: Sea Demon was unknown to the world for a very long time thus little is known about the abilities that this fruit grants.
What is Known:
The fruit grants the user the ability to morph into three forms. Mortal, Half-Shifted, Sea King.
The form that the user takes when they take their Sea Demon form changes between users.
It grants the user superior strength, agility, and heightened senses.
Grants the eater semi-immortality in the form of Nine Lives. One each for the Nine Heads that their demon form takes on. They are still susceptible to poison, illness, and death. If not killed by any of these methods they will not age nor die and to die, all nine heads must be killed individually.

This is the form he takes most often to hide from the Marines, however it is his Half-Shifted Form that he prefers and will maintain when interacting with the general public.

Silver white hair and eyes that can shift to slitted blood red hues. He also has atribuites that show his fishman heritage in this form. Shimmering pearl like scalling on his face and body. His canines are also extended in this form and his nails can extend into claws

Compared to a Sea King, his demon form is massive. One silvery blue body with nine heads rising out of its mass. The body consists of two large front legs with lethal claws and a serpent like back end.

Xiang Liu had been severely poisoned by the former wielder of the Poison Poison Fruit when he consumed the Devil Fruit during his captivity in a fighting ring owned by the Celestial Dragons. Thus, when his body was transformed his blood became posionious and he developed an immunity to most poisons. Since that time he has consumed every poison he can find to build up his immunity until his very own blood is now more toxic then the Poison Poison Fruit.

It was only after his escape from the Celestial Dragons that he learned how to fight like his people. Quickly mastering Fishman Karate until he was known as one fo the best in the world. However, since he grew up developing his own methods of fighting he rarely uses this ability unless he needs to manipulate water.
Swimming int the Sea
Swimming int the Sea
Xiang Liu is only able to swim now while in his sea king form. While in this form his scales secreat a kind of slim covering that makes it so taht while he'd underwater, the sea water isn't actually touching him. This is why he's perfected the art of shifting forms when entering and exiting the water.
