Former Directors

Rick Eckler was one of the longest serving band directors in Northland history. He served the Northland Vikings from 2003-2014. He was recently awarded the Northland Community Council Educator of the Year Award. This Week Community News featured Mr. Eckler in a May 2014 publication.

Robert Weimer passed away in September 2013. Mr. Weimer served as a director for Northland for 5 years and Woodward Park MS for 24 years.

Sharah Shively, Director, is a central Ohio native from Pickerington. She obtained my Bachelors of Music Education from Otterbein University in 2015 and taught a variety of music courses at Northland High School. She also taught at Parkmoor, Valley Forge, and North Linden elementary school and student taught at Woodward Park Middle School. She was moved from NHS at the end of the 2021 school year.
