PhD Candidate, Operations Management

Tepper School of Business · Carnegie Mellon University

I am currently a PhD candidate in Operations Management at the Tepper School of Business, Carnegie Mellon University. I am fortunate to be advised by Professor Alan Scheller-Wolf.  Prior to joining Tepper, I received my MSc degree in Industrial Engineering from Bilkent University, where I was advised by Professor Emre Nadar.

My research centers on sustainable operations, with a focus on the transition to a low-carbon economy, especially in renewable energy and hard-to-abate sectors. I study the policies that can effectively drive that transition when firm, policymaker, and investor incentives do not always align, drawing on tools from operations, accounting, and political economy. I am particularly interested in how these policies translate into firm strategy and operational decisions.

I am on the 2026-27 academic job market.
