During our time in Qatar, we were blessed with a growing community of loyal customers — from families celebrating birthdays and weddings to a Filipino restaurant that regularly ordered cakes for their events, and even an event organizer who trusted us for their special occasions. With the high demand, we decided to limit orders to ensure each creation received the love, time, and attention to detail it deserved.

After 2017, we continued making cakes on a smaller scale, focusing only on select customers and quietly serving our close friends and supporters. Whether it was a custom cake or traditional Filipino kakanin, every order carried the same heart and homemade touch.

When the pandemic hit in 2019, we decided to pause operations entirely — a time for reflection and new beginnings.

By 2024, we made the decision to return home to the Philippines, settling in Angeles City, Pampanga. While Nil’s Kitchentale is currently on pause as we set up our new kitchen, we have turned our focus to one of our other great passions: music. This led us to open JMJ Musical Goods Trading and JMJ Guitars in Angeles City, Pampanga. Once everything is in place here, we will be setting up the kitchen for Nil’s Kitchentale. In God’s perfect time, once the kitchen is fully ready, our cakes — and our story — will continue to rise once again.
