What is reflections?

National PTA's Reflections program provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts which boost student confidence and success in the arts and in life.

Each year, over 300,000 students in Pre-K through Grade 12 create original works of art in response to a student-selected theme. This 50+ year-old program helps them explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning that will help them become more successful in school and in life.

The 2023–2024 Reflections theme is "I am hopeful because"

Students submit their completed works of art in one or all of the available arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.

Theme Search Submission Form

It's that time already, when we are looking for a new theme idea. The 2025-2026 theme search has begun. California State PTA will submit five student-created themes to National PTA for review and consideration.

Theme search starts today and goes till November 1st.

All students need to do is review past themes so they don't repeat a theme and then create a brand new theme for the future. Inspire the nation and send us your ideas.

Here is the link to send to your students if they want to take part in choosing the 2025-26 theme.

Please share with your community.
