About Me

I grew up as a third-culture kid in diplomatic enclaves in 6 countries across 4 continents, and that has been a remarkably enriching experience that has shaped who I am. In my free time I write shayari, paint and doodle. I am an exhibited Madhubani artist (exhibited work in Oxford, UK and India) and have contributed my work to art galleries and raised funds for charitable causes. I am an aspiring Shayara (poet) and have recited my poems at forums such as the Harvard Annual India poetry reading.

Shayari /Poetry

I recited my poem "Do Parindon ke Sawaal" at the Harvard Annual India Poetry Reading virtually in 2020. The theme of the event was "Justice". The poem personifies two birds that wonder whether we (humans) regret the destruction to nature caused by our activities in the garb of modernization and remind us of our exploitative relationship with nature, urging us to amend our ways.

Photography

Being a "diplobrat", I had the unique opportunity to grow up in several countries around the world and experience different cultures at a very young age. I got my first DSLR in the year 2008 and have been trying to become a better photographer over time, capturing my travels and excursions around the world. Fortunately, I am now in a profession that involves travel!
