MISSION STATEMENT

Firstly I want to thank everyone who take interest in my blog and those who share their views in the comments sections. Before we start I want to make a short disclaimer. I know for some the panoramic photo on my home page could be misleading. So let me clear any misunderstanding before we even begin our journey together. I am NOT a fan of Barcelona. As a matter of fact I am not a fan of any football team. But to be fair once I was. Some of you may rightfully ask "Then why am I blogging?"

Well I am kinda fan, a true fan of ... football. This great game that can make so many people happy and yet equally as many sad, with its unpredictability to inspire impossible comebacks, create special moments that have such impact on our senses and emotions that could only be compared to the perfect chord or perfect pitch performed by the worlds best musicians. Why do I make such comparison?

Because football is no longer just a game. YES it is a huge business. But it's also an art. Why do people go to movies, theaters, concerts etc.? Because they want to be entertained. People have accepted football for the same purpose. At the end of the day does it really matter who wins or who loses? For a fan to say "I was there, I saw it, I lived it" is all that matters. Football is a game for the fans and because of the fans. Have you ever watched a match where the home team is suspended to play behind closed doors? It's awful for the players and awful for those watching on TV. Regardless of which teams are playing and what the stake is it would be the most boring of experiences.


Nevertheless I would agree with anyone who says winning is important. No doubt about that. To win is the aim of every game. However this is the role of the players. The fans are there to support in glory and failure. But the game can truly be enjoyed only by those who can rise above team colours. Only they can provide objective opinions. And this is where we come to the point of my blog. My pledge is to always give to the best of my ability true views for all events subject to my scrutiny.

So let us loose no more time and immerse ourselves in the magic of ... football !!!
