Since 2018 I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Music Technology and Acoustics of the Hellenic Mediterranean University and an affiliated researcher at the  Institute of Computer Science of FORTH. I received my Diploma degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and my Ph.D. degree from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA. During my PhD, I spent nine months as a scholar in Acoustic Technology of Denmark Technical University.  After completion of my PhD, I have worked as a postdoc researcher in INRIA (France), in University of Potsdam (Germany) and in the Institute of Computer Science in FORTH. 

My research interests are in the field of acoustics, audio signal processing and machine learning. I also have experience in real-time audio programming and have developped applications related to  sound event detection, microphone array signal processing and musician-computer interaction.
