This Privacy Commitment explains how the NikoGroupeBike application handles user data.
Our priority is to protect user information and ensure a transparent and secure experience.

By using the app, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Data We Collect

The app collects only the information necessary for its proper functioning.

1.1 Profile Data

• First name
• Last name
• Avatar (image provided by the user)
• Preferred language

This information is voluntarily entered by the user during profile creation.

1.2 GPS Location

The app uses real-time location only during an active motorcycle ride.
Your location is shared exclusively with participants of the same ride.

1.3 Ride Information

• Ride names
• Invitation codes
• Configured alert distances
• Ride history (duration, participants, route)

These elements are required to manage, track, and store group rides.

2. How We Use the Data

Collected data is used only for:

• Displaying real-time locations of group members
• Triggering the “Grouped”, “Far Away”, “Stopped” or "Fallen" alerts
• Starting Maps navigation when a rider must rejoin the group
• Creating or joining rides via code
• Displaying and saving ride history
• Personalizing the user experience (language, avatar, name)

The data is never sold or used for external commercial purposes.

3. Data Sharing

Personal data is never shared with third parties, except:

• With participants of the current ride, where real-time GPS location is shared
• With Maps, only when navigation is activated

No other entities have access to user data.

4. Storage and Security

We apply measures to protect data against:

• Unauthorized access
• Alteration
• Loss or disclosure

Information is stored securely and only for the duration necessary for the app’s features.

5. Data Retention

• Profile data remains stored until the user deletes it.
• Ride history is kept locally until manually removed.
• GPS data is used only during an active ride and is not stored afterward.

6. Required Permissions

The app may request the following permissions:

• Location – required for real-time GPS tracking
• Network access – used to synchronize ride data
• Notifications – used to display group alerts

No unnecessary permissions are requested.

7. User Rights

At any time, the user may:

• Edit their name, email, avatar, and language
• Delete their profile
• Delete ride history
• Stop location sharing by leaving a ride

8. Children

The application is not intended for children under 13 years old.

9. Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Commitment.
Any significant changes will be communicated within the app.
