Niki Sereti is a Greek actress of Greek and African heritage, born in the Belgian Congo and raised in Athens. A graduate of the George Theodosiadis Drama School, she has worked extensively in theatre, film and television since the mid-1990s. Her stage credits include The Doctor by Robert Icke (dir. Katerina  Evangelatos), Crime and Punishment: Athens (dir. Vasilis Bisbikis, Onassis Foundation), Bacchae  by Euripides and Oedipus Tyrannus by Sophocles (dir. Christos Sougaris), performed at the Odeon of Herodes Atticus,  and La Commune Grecque (dir. Sakis Papakonstantinou) Top Girls by Caryl Churchill (dir. Alexis Riglis) at the Athens Festival.

Her screen work includes Hot Spot by Agnieszka Smoczyńska and Sgt. Fruit Fly by Tommy King. She starred in the medium-length film Demetra’s Dream by Francesca Bartellini alongside Julian Sands, and appeared in The Other Sea, the final unfinished film by Theo Angelopoulos, opposite Tony Servillo.

Sereti reached the final selection for the role of Athena in The Odyssey directed by Robert Wilson at the National Theatre of Greece. She works in Greek, English and Italian and  has a working knowledge of French.
